SEPTEMBER THINGS
links to get you through September
What would September look like if we let go of the desperate need to reinvent ourselves? (while simultaneously managing the back-to-school emotions of our children, end of summer sadness in ourselves and / lucky us / crazy ongoing pandemic related burnout)?
We’d go soft. We’d let go of the need to be in a race and we’d evolve at whatever rate felt right.
So here’s my list of everything that I’m doing NOT to escape this time but because I am beginning to understand that good things come from actually nurturing myself.
BODY. Paint your nails. I’ve been loving these nail lacquer palettes (my mani even survived a camping trip)
CLOTHES. I just bought Dr. Martens to wear with long summer dresses because Free People made them look so damn good + I needed a lift that wasn’t another zoom call top.
DOWNTIME. Take some CBD. Or chew a gummie, we’ve all been there. (And if you’re visiting PEC, visit the prettiest cannabis store ever.)
RESET. Go for a walk.
FLOW. Try exercising not because you have to but because it is actually a joy giving meditation that you choose to do for yourself. My fave way to workout.
LISTEN. Do a line activation. Learn how at @ALNWITHIN
LEARN. Look up your human design profile. I’m a 3/5 Generator. What are you?
IMMERSE. Buy a book (it can even be a romance). This is what I’m reading now before bed.
